In the Gospel reading today we hear of Mary’s pregnancy with Jesus. The angel Gabriel tells her, “He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
This announcement gives hope for all people; the Savior has come. This hope for a better world must be taken up by the disciples of the Christ-child today. The commercialization of Christmas is grander every year and it is difficult to see the “reason for the season.” How is it clear in your household that the coming of Jesus Christ is the main focus?
Here are some ideas to keep Christ in Christmas.
